One Voice Texas® is a network of more than 100 public, private and non-profit organizations and individuals working together to ensure that the health and human services needs of all Texans are addressed in legislative, regulatory, funding and other public policy initiatives.

One Voice Texas functions through identified workgroups:

Behavioral Health - Mental health, substance abuse, criminal justice, decriminalization of behavioral health;

Child and Youth Services - Child welfare, juvenile justice, behavioral health;

Healthcare - Federal healthcare reform and impact on Texas and local areas, Medicaid and CHIP eligibility, federally qualified health clinics, access to health coverage, vaccinations, immunization registry, quality training/care, community care vs. institutional care.

One Voice Texas supports the need for strong prevention and early intervention programs, and the ability to maximize federal funding for health and human services programs in Texas, so that we can "Keep Texas dollars working in Texas."

The success of One Voice Texas is its ability to bring the voices of hundreds together and consolidate common interests, concerns, goals, and work efforts regarding community needs, community education/awareness/engagement, program development, funding, and advocacy. Active organizational participation is the strength of One Voice Texas.
